Call for Papers, Reports, Abstracts, and Studies

The Beginning Algebra Conference encourages the following types of submissions in any of the topic areas listed below or any related areas:

Format of Presentations

Each presentation will be given one 30 minute period which includes time for discussions. The following supplies will be provided:

Submitting a Proposal

  1. Create a title page for your submission that includes:
    • title of the submission topic
    • area of the submission (chooses from above list)
    • requirements
    • name(s) of the author(s)
    • department(s) and affiliation(s)
    • mailing address(es)
    • e-mail address(es)
    • phone number(s) of corresponding author if different than lead author
  2. Submit your abstract and/or paper along with the title page by September 12, 2008 using one of the following methods:

    • Fax to: 330-941-3170
    • Regular mail to (please supply two copies of your submission):

  3. Receipt of submissions will be acknowledged via email within 48 hours. There is a limit of two contributed submissions per lead author.
  4. Submissions will only be published in the conference proceedings if at least one of the authors registers and attends the conference. More information will be provided upon acceptance.
  5. Authors will be notified of acceptance by September 19, 2008.
  6. Submission of copy ready paper due by December 30, 2008 via email to aburden@math.ysu.edu.
