Research Interests

Fundamentally, I am interested in bone and muscle-tendon architecture and how these structures function during locomotor events. I am also interested in muscle physiology and how contractile mechanics and MHC isoform of muscle fibres relate to in vivo performance. Technologies used in my research include: EMG, strain gages, sonomicrometry, force platforms and high-speed videography. Muscle physiology techniques include studies of fibre contractile properties and muscle fibre typing by histochemical staining and electrophoretic separation of MHC.
