Annual Meeting
The SIG-SRE annual meeting comprises a business meeting and a social hour. Generally, these events follow one of its paper presentation sessions. Members and non-members are encouraged to attend both the business meeting and social hour. Typical activities of the business meeting include, but are not limited to, the following:* review of the SIG activities for the previous year.
* plans for the SIG activities for the coming year.
* reports of various SIG office holders.
* election of SIG officers.
* presentation of awards.Newcomers are strongly encouraged to attend the social hour, during which they will have an opportunity to interact with members of the SIG and learn more about how they can become involved in SIG activities.
Usually, the SIG-SRE annual meeting is held during the AERA annul meeting.
Starting from 1988, the details of research papers presented at annual SIG-SRE sessions are elaborated in the SIG PAPERS Room. Please check it out.
Our next annual meeting sessions will be held at the AERA Annual Meeting in San Diego, CA from Monday, April 13 through Friday, April 17, 2009. The details of the 2009 meeting are available at the AERA Website, which can be accessed from the following address: http://www.aera.net/ Forthcoming issues of our newsletter would be another source of information on our next annual meeting. Annual meeting information will be updated on a continuing basis.
