Introduction to Professional Ethics

This course examines the ideals and virtues central to professionalism; study of selected codes of professional ethics and their roots in classical ethical traditions; and analysis of selected ethical issues and problems in a variety of professions.

Required Text: Ethical Issues in Public Life ed. Joan C. Callahan
Readings placed online or on reserve at the library.

Course Requirements:

Short papers: 2 – 10% each
Exams: 2 - 35% each
Participation: 10%
