Dr. Van Dussen is the Coordinator in Gerontology and teaches a variety of courses in aging. These include Introduction to Gerontology, Aging and Society, Later Life Issues, Family, Health and Aging, Theories of Gerontology, the Capstone in Gerontology, Internships in Gerontology, and Social Gerontology.

Dr. Van Dussen's research interests include social support, physical health, self-rated health, and depression.

Dr. Van Dussen's PhD is in Gerontology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.
